The Aeon Center was designated as an Information Technology Center pursuant to Republic Act No. 7916, also known as the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, as amended by Republic Act No. 8748, and the recommendation of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Board of Directors.

The President of the Philippines has the authority to create and designate an Information Technology Center under RA No. 7916, as amended, upon the recommendation of the PEZA Board of Directors.

The Aeon Center is located at Lot Nos. 2A and 3, Block 45, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang-Zapote Road corner North Bridgeway Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It has an aggregate area of approximately 3,905 square meters.

The designation is governed under RA No. 7916, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, PEZA Resolution No. 00-411 (2000), amended by Resolution No. 11-066 (2011), and Resolution No. 14-004 (2014), as amended.

Lot 2A is bounded on the east by Lot 1; on the south by Road Lot 1 (47 meters wide); on the southwest by Lot 2-B; on the west by Road Lot 26; on the north by Lot 3; and on the east by Lot 7, all within the subdivision plan PSD-00-040475.

Lot 3 is bounded on the east by Road Lot 33 and Lot 7; on the south by Lot 2; on the west by Road Lot 26 (42 meters wide); and on the north by Lot 4 of the subdivision plan.

The designation is made under RA No. 7916, the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, as amended by RA No. 8748.

Designating buildings as Information Technology Centers under RA No. 7916 aims to promote and facilitate the growth of IT-based economic activities within special economic zones for economic development and investment incentives.
