The primary purpose of Republic Act No. 11066 is to convert the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Licensing Center in Batangas City, Batangas province, into a Regular Licensing Center to be known as the Batangas City Licensing Center.
The Secretary of Transportation is responsible for the operationalization of the Batangas City Licensing Center.
The Act took effect fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in two (2) national newspapers of general circulation.
The initial funding for the operationalization of the Batangas City Licensing Center shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Batangas City Licensing Center.
Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continued operation of the Batangas City Licensing Center shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The LTO Licensing Center in Batangas City is converted from its then-status into a Regular Licensing Center by this law.
The Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines enacted Republic Act No. 11066.
The Act was passed by the House of Representatives on August 9, 2017, and by the Senate on May 28, 2018.
