BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 164

: The main purpose of Batas Pambansa Blg. 164 is to convert the Talaonga Barangay High School in the Municipality of Santa Magdalena, Province of Sorsogon, into a national high school to be known as Talaonga National High School.
: Talaonga National High School is mandated to offer a comprehensive curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses.
: The Minister of Education and Culture is empowered to organize the Talaonga National High School accordingly.
: Upon the organization of the Talaonga National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment, and records of the Talaonga Barangay High School shall be transferred to the Talaonga National High School.
: The Talaonga National High School shall be made operational in the first school term after the effectivity of this Act.
: An amount of two hundred thousand pesos was allocated for the operation of the school.
: The appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 80 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools are used for the initial funding.
: The local government unit concerned shall continue to provide its share in the cost of operating and maintaining the school.
: Starting Calendar Year 1983, the necessary funds for the operation and maintenance of the school shall be provided in the annual General Appropriations Act.
: Batas Pambansa Blg. 164 took effect upon its approval on February 8, 1982.
