The main purpose of Batas Pambansa Blg. 104 is to convert Parang Barrio High School in the Municipality of Parang, Province of Sulu, into a national high school to be known as Parang National High School.
The law was enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled.
The new name is Parang National High School.
The Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for the conversion and operation of the school.
The Ministry of Education and Culture is directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of the Act.
The amount needed for operation is determined in accordance with Section 40 of Presidential Decree No. 1177 and charged to appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 40 and 80 intended for new national schools.
The costs will initially be charged to the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 40 and 80 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools.
Thereafter, the funds necessary for operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The law took effect upon its approval, which was on December 27, 1980.
Section 40 of Presidential Decree No. 1177 prescribes the method for determining the amount needed for the operation of the school.
