Republic Act No. 7377 is an act converting the Bukidnon State College Extension Center in the Municipality of Tandag, Province of Surigao del Sur, into a polytechnic college to be known as the Surigao del Sur Polytechnic College, integrating certain other schools as its branches.

The Surigao del Sur Polytechnic College is under the regulation, supervision, and control of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).

The College is authorized to offer one- to three-year technical courses and undergraduate courses in agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries, forestry, and industrial education, subject to DECS approval.

The College is headed by a Vocational Superintendent II who is appointed by the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports, with tenure and salary as provided by law for such position.

All assets, fixed and movable, personnel, and records of the Bukidnon State College Extension Center, and the integrated schools are transferred to the Surigao del Sur Polytechnic College. The positions, rights, and security of tenure of personnel are not impaired and incumbents remain in their status unless otherwise provided by law.

All parcels of land occupied by the integrated schools are declared property of the Surigao del Sur Polytechnic College and shall be titled under its name. If the College ceases to exist or the land is no longer needed, the land shall revert to the Province of Surigao del Sur.

The accounts and expenses of the College shall be audited by the Commission on Audit or its duly authorized representative.

The staff are organized and structured as with other DECS-supervised colleges, with terms and salaries according to DECS regulations or applicable laws.

The Act took effect upon its approval on April 10, 1992.
