RA 4166 changes Philippine Independence Day from July 4 to June 12.

All citizens of the Philippines are enjoined to observe June 12 with rites befitting Independence Day.

Thursday and Friday of Holy Week, Christmas Day, and Sundays are legal religious holidays.
The first of January; the ninth of April; the first of May; the twelfth of June (Independence Day); the fourth of July (Philippine Republic Day); the thirtieth of November; the thirtieth of December; and the day appointed by law for the holding of a general election.
The next succeeding day shall be observed as the legal holiday.
It both proclaims June 12 as Independence Day and amends Section 29 of the Revised Administrative Code to include it among legal holidays.
It takes effect upon its approval.
Independence Day is moved to June 12, while July 4 is retained in the calendar but redesignated as Philippine Republic Day.
July 4 remains a holiday but changes designation from Independence Day to Philippine Republic Day, and it is still listed as a legal holiday in Section 29.
The next succeeding day shall be observed as the legal holiday.
All three are included: May 1, April 9, and July 4 (as Philippine Republic Day).
