The Cebu State College of Science and Technology System in the City of Cebu, including all its satellite campuses located in the Province of Cebu, is converted into Cebu Technological University.
The University shall primarily provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special purposes in fields such as industrial trade, agriculture, fishery, forestry, aeronautics, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology, and other relevant fields. It shall also undertake research and extension services and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.
The University may offer undergraduate and graduate studies in industrial trade, agriculture, fishery, forestry, aeronautics, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology, nontraditional courses, and other degrees within its specialization and capabilities, subject to CHED approval before offering new degree programs.
The Board consists of the Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (Chairperson), the President of the University (Vice Chairperson), Chairpersons of the Senate and House Committees on Education, Regional Directors of NEDA and DOST, Presidents of the university's federation of faculty, students, and alumni associations, and two prominent citizens from the private sector.
