The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region VII property, a 32,478-square meter land situated in Dumlog, Talisay City, Province of Cebu, is authorized for disposal.
The primary purpose is to serve as a relocation site for the Informal Settler Families (ISFs) affected by the Cebu South Coastal Road Project (CSCRP) and for institutional purposes such as a DPWH Regional Office and LGU-Talisay City's modern slaughterhouse.
11,574 sqm is allocated for the DPWH Regional Office, 12,971 sqm for LGU-Talisay City's modern slaughterhouse, and the remaining 7,933 sqm for relocating the 96 ISFs and other qualified beneficiaries.
The LGU-Talisay City acts as the Chairman of the Local Inter-Agency Committee (LIAC).
The LIAC is composed of LGU-Talisay City (Chairman), Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) as Co-Chairman, DPWH, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), National Housing Authority (NHA), Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), and a representative of the People's Organization (PO) in the area.
The HUDCC coordinates with the LIAC to provide technical and administrative support and oversees the project implementation. It exercises an oversight function over Local Inter-Agency Committees as mandated by Memorandum 74, Series of 2002.
