The President of the Philippines has the authority to designate the person who shall take charge of all arrangements for the convening of the Cordillera Regional Consultative Commission, as provided by Republic Act No. 6658.
The Presidential Management Staff, Office of the President, was designated by the Executive Order to take charge of all arrangements for convening the Cordillera Regional Consultative Commission.
Undersecretary Ramon K. Katigbak of the Department of Finance was authorized to be the representative of the President to convene the Commission and preside at its opening session until a presiding officer is elected by the Commission.
The opening session was scheduled to be held in the City of Baguio on July 23, 1988, at 10:00 o'clock in the morning.
The President or her duly authorized representative presides over the opening session until a presiding officer is elected by the Commission.
The Secretary of Budget and Management was directed to release to the Cordillera Regional Consultative Commission such funds as are necessary for its operations as soon as it convenes.
Republic Act No. 6658 provides that the Commission shall be convened by authority of the President within fifteen (15) days after the approval of the Act in the City of Baguio at 10:00 o'clock in the morning or on such other date or place as may be fixed by the President.
Executive Order No. 331 took effect immediately upon its signing on July 20, 1988.
