Republic Act No. 8473 establishes the Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali in the Province of Davao, separating certain barangays from the municipalities of Panabo and Carmen, and appointing officials until successors are elected, while also determining the municipality's share in obligations, funds, and assets.

RA 8473 created the Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali in the Third District of the Province of Davao.

Barangays Dujali, New Casay, Tanglaw, and a portion of A. O. Floirendo of the Municipality of Panabo, and barangays Cabayangan and Magusiping of the Municipality of Carmen.

The seat of the government shall be at Barangay Dujali.

Section 4 provides that corporate existence is acquired upon ratification by the majority of votes cast in a plebiscite.

The expenses are divided between the municipalities of Carmen and Panabo, Province of Davao del Norte.

They are appointed by the President of the Philippines, in consultation with the representative of the district affected and the governor of the province.

Within four (4) months after effectivity, the Commission on Audit determines the proportionate share of the new municipality in obligations, funds, assets, and other properties.

It receives a proportionate share from the internal revenue allotments of Panabo and Carmen, pursuant to Section 285 of the Local Government Code, subject to terms and conditions set by resolutions submitted to DBM.

Thereafter, the municipality is entitled to an internal revenue allotment as authorized under the Local Government Code.

The respective sangguniang bayans of Panabo and Carmen must consult with the representative of the district and the governor of the province, and then submit resolutions to the Department of Budget and Management.

It provides that the Local Government Code and other existing laws governing the municipality’s administration are applicable, and that laws inconsistent with RA 8473 are repealed or modified accordingly.

It takes effect immediately upon its approval.

Ninety-one square kilometers (91 sq. km.), more or less.
