The National Telecommunications Commission establishes licensing guidelines and technical specifications for Short Range Radio Service (SRRS) equipment, including type approval processes and restrictions on usage to ensure compliance and prevent interference.

SRRS is a private radio communication system in the Land Mobile Service limited to portable transceivers for short-range communications.
