EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 173

: Executive Order No. 173, issued on May 8, 1987, further amended Commonwealth Act No. 542.
: The woman President or the First Lady of the Philippines shall be the Chief Girl Scout of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
: It is an Act to create a corporation known as the Girl Scouts of the Philippines and to define its powers and purposes.
: It took effect immediately upon its signing on May 8, 1987.
: Corazon C. Aquino signed it as President.
: Section 1 defines the amendment regarding the Chief Girl Scout position.
: All laws, orders, issuances, rules, and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly as stated in Section 2.
: Joker P. Arroyo was the Executive Secretary who signed the order.
: It amends an existing corporation created by Commonwealth Act No. 542.
: Section 3 provides that the Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
