Q&A (MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2018-2138)

Memorandum Circular No. AVT-2015-1950 dated 10 June 2015 and Memorandum Circular No. AVT-2015-1949 dated 2 June 2015.

The LTO Motor Vehicle Plates Standardization Program (MVPSP).

Failure to use the specified plate locks and/or the use of any other bolts/screws other than those supplied by the LTO shall no longer be considered as improper attachment.

Number plates shall be kept clean and cared for, and shall be firmly affixed to the motor vehicle to make them entirely visible and always legible.

Compliance to the proper attachment of license plates and the use of the supplied plate locks for the LTO MVPSP.

It was adopted on 12 April 2018 and filed on 15 May 2018.

Use of supplied plate locks is encouraged but failure to use them will no longer be considered improper attachment as per the amendment.
