The main purpose of Republic Act No. 1156 is to amend and repeal certain items in Republic Act No. 920 regarding public works projects for the Province of Bohol.
The construction of Clarin Municipal Town Hall with an allocation of P35,000.00 was added as a new item (b-1).
In Section 2, the allocation for Tubigon Home Economics Building was set at P10,000.00.
Several roads had amended appropriations including Sikatuna-Balilihan road via Badianga (P40,000.00), Poblacion Valle-Hermoso road, Carmen, Bohol (P30,000.00), Balilihan-Hanopol road (P50,000.00), Batuan-Balilihan road (P30,000.00), and San Jacinto-Borja road (P62,000.00).
Section 11 repealed item 3, paragraph (d), Title B; items (f), (i), and (j), Group I; items (p) and (x), Group II; item 17, Group I; items 101, 102, and 103, Group II; item 9, Group I, paragraph (a), Title G; and items 63 and 64, Group II, paragraph (b), section two of Republic Act No. 920.
Funds allocated to repealed projects or any unexpended amount thereof are appropriated to the projects indicated in this Act.
The Act took effect upon its approval on June 17, 1954.
An amount of P65,000.00 was allocated for the extension and asphalting of the causeway at Tubigon Wharf, Bohol.
The Batasan Sea Wall project in Tubigon, Bohol was allocated P10,000.00.
The Act covers both construction projects such as municipal town halls and school buildings, as well as road infrastructure including feeder roads and main roads in the Province of Bohol.
