: PD No. 773 amends Presidential Decree No. 742.
: Region IX is composed of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur; and the cities of Dapitan, Dipolog, Pagadian, and Zamboanga.
: Jolo is designated as the Regional Center for Region IX.
: Region IX is divided into two sub-regions: Sub-Region IX-A and Sub-Region IX-B.
