The purpose of Presidential Decree No. 375 is to amend Section 2 of Presidential Decree No. 260 by including the two-hundred-year-old Basilica of Taal, Batangas, and the Church of Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, among the national landmarks and monuments declared as National Shrines.
The Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan; Tirad Pass in Cervantes, Ilocos Sur; the Miagao Church in Miagao, Iloilo; the site of the Battle of Mactan in Mactan Island, Cebu; the San Sebastian Church in Quiapo, Manila; the Church and Convent of Santo Nino in Cebu City; the 200-year-old Basilica of Taal, Batangas; and the Church of Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.
They are governed in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 4368.
The National Historical Commission, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, is responsible for their supervision and control.
It took effect immediately upon its signing on January 14, 1974.
