Questions (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 294)

Executive Order No. 294 amends Executive Order No. 47, dated July 7, 1936.

The width of the rights-of-way for national and provincial roads through public land is fixed at sixty (60) meters.

Rights-of-way of at least one hundred twenty (120) meters shall be reserved through naturally forested areas of aesthetic or scientific value.

The right-of-way width for principal streets in town sites located on public land is fixed at sixty (60) meters.

A minimum width of fifteen (15) meters is prescribed for other streets in town sites located on public land.

The purpose is to preserve the natural growth of timber along proposed roads and to provide for appropriate planting and roadside beautification.

It applies to both national and provincial roads constructed through the public domain.

Executive Order No. 294 was signed on August 5, 1940.
