President Elpidio Quirino amends Executive Order No. 390 to allow an additional charge of P0.05 per kilo for sugar packed in cellophane, cotton, or equivalent quality bags, effective immediately.

Executive Order No. 514 took effect immediately upon its issuance on July 1, 1952.

The issuance of Executive Order No. 514 was authorized by President Elpidio Quirino of the Philippines.

Section 3 of Republic Act No. 509 empowers the President to fix ceiling prices of commodities and promulgate related rules and regulations to implement this national price control policy.

The amendments were made upon the recommendation of the Price Administration Board.

Executive Order No. 514 amends Executive Order No. 390 dated December 27, 1950.
