Executive Order No. 406
Decision Date
Oct 13, 1960
Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, amends a previous executive order to designate Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City as a national secondary road, enhancing its classification and infrastructure.

Q&A (EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 406)

Katipunan Avenue (38-M Highway) in Quezon City, from Santolan Road, Km. 10.898 to Central Boulevard, Km. 12.089, is declared a national secondary road.

The road section is 1.191 kilometers long.

Executive Order No. 406 amends Executive Order No. 113, series of 1955, which originally established the classification of roads.

It was signed in the City of Manila.

The Executive Order was also signed by Natalio P. Castillo, the Executive Secretary.

Classifying a road as a national secondary road generally means it is maintained by the national government and serves as a road connecting provincial capitals and important municipalities not served by primary roads.
