Public land transportation operators and drivers are mandated to prominently display authorized fare matrices in their vehicles to ensure transparency and avoid disputes, with penalties for non-compliance escalating from fines to suspension of service.

The main purpose is to properly disseminate the correct public land transportation fare rates and to avoid conflicts between passengers and drivers/conductors by requiring the display of authorized fare matrices in vehicles.

All public land transportation service operators and drivers are directed to comply with the memorandum.

The authorized fare matrix for the specific route granted to the operator must be displayed in a conspicuous place in the vehicle.

A fine of ₱500.00 for the first offense.

A fine of ₱1,000.00 for the second offense.

Suspension of the authority of the concerned unit (vehicle) for the third offense.

They are available free of charge at the LTFRB Central Office.

It took effect immediately upon its issuance on September 21, 1990.
