An executive order in the Philippines prioritizes the implementation of measures to address the root causes of teenage pregnancies, mobilizing government agencies to provide comprehensive sexuality education and reproductive health services to empower adolescents and prevent further cases.

Republic Act No. 10354, also known as the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012.

The updated Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022.

A total of 183,967 live births among adolescents aged 10-19 years were recorded in 2018.

SKs are encouraged to develop interventions to prevent adolescent pregnancies and support adolescent mothers, reflected in Local Youth Development Plans and Annual Investment Programs, including educational and support programs.

The HDPR (Human Development and Poverty Reduction) Cabinet Cluster.

POPCOM shall educate community leaders on strategies to prevent adolescent pregnancies, consolidate government initiatives into a Comprehensive Action Plan, and submit the plan to the HDPR Cabinet Cluster.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) shall ensure inclusion of adolescent pregnancy prevention initiatives in the National Expenditure Program and support Program Convergence Budgeting.

Interventions shall especially target adolescents in geographically isolated and depressed areas such as island municipalities, upland communities, hard-to-reach areas, and conflict-affected areas.

It mandates the establishment of forums by the National Youth Commission for dialogue and planning, and encourages youth participation through education, life skills programs, and community mobilization via the Sangguniang Kabataan.
