Q&A (PRC BOARD OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY Resolution NO. 08, S. 2005)

The resolution aims to accept applications for registration as Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Technologist without examination under specific provisions of R.A. No. 7431.

This resolution implements provisions of Republic Act No. 7431, also known as the Radiologic Technology Act of 1992.

Sections 16(b), 17(c), and 17(d) of R.A. No. 7431.

The registration without examination started after the effectivity of Resolution No. 10, series of 1993, on November 17, 1993.

Resolution No. 15, series of 2003 resolved not to accept applications without examination under the specified sections, but allowed registration of qualified applicants with pending applications before the resolution's effectivity.

The Board recalled Resolution No. 15 due to the meritorious clamor of qualified applicants who failed to register due to valid reasons and because R.A. No. 7431 does not specify any reglementary period for registration.

The Philippine Association of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (PART), Philippine Federation of Professional Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (PFPRT), and the Philippine Society of Government Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (PSGRT).
