The Surplus Property Commission was abolished and all its powers, functions, duties, properties, records, funds, and appropriations were transferred to the Surplus Property Liquidating Committee.
The new committee is called the Surplus Property Liquidating Committee.
Its primary duties include disposing of the remaining surplus properties and liquidating the accounts of the former Surplus Property Commission within the shortest time possible.
The Committee may appoint and fix salaries of its personnel with the approval of the President.
The order took effect on October 1, 1949.
Executive Order No. 27, dated November 18, 1946, created the original Surplus Property Commission.
The order was issued pursuant to the powers vested in the President of the Philippines by law.
Administrative Order No. 90 created the committee which was renamed as the Surplus Property Liquidating Committee and received the powers and functions of the abolished Surplus Property Commission.
