Trial Court Proceedings
Respondent filed a complaint before the Labor Arbiter on October 15, 1997 against Sameer Overseas Placement Agency, Inc. and Wacoal claiming illegal dismissal, reimbursement of placement fees, return of withheld repatriation costs, salary for the unexpired portion of the contract, and damages. On July 29, 1998, the Labor Arbiter dismissed the complaint.
