Implementation
- The National Historical Institute (NHI) is tasked with the implementation of the Act.
- The NHI is responsible for formulating and issuing the necessary rules and regulations to ensure proper execution of the Act.
Inter-agency Committee
- An Inter-agency Committee is created to organize activities for the commemoration of Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day.
- The Committee is chaired by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, with the Executive Director of the NHI and the Mayor of Baler serving as Co-Vice Chairmen.
- Members include Undersecretaries from the Departments of Education and Tourism, representatives from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the University of the Philippines History Department.
- The Philippine Ambassador to Spain and the Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines are designated as ex officio members of the Committee.
Appropriations
- An annual budget of Fifteen million pesos (Php15,000,000.00) is allocated for the celebration of Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day.
- Thirty percent (30%) of this budget is specifically earmarked for research and development.
- Future expenses for the celebration will be included in subsequent General Appropriations Acts.
Separability Clause
- If any section or provision of the Act is deemed unconstitutional or invalid, the remaining sections or provisions will continue to be valid and effective.
Repealing Clause
- Any laws, presidential decrees, executive orders, rules, or regulations that conflict with this Act are repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The law takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in two newspapers of general circulation.
