A

Consideration for Religious Beliefs of Examinees

  • The Commission recognizes that some examinees are compelled by religious beliefs to abstain from activities on specific days of the week.
  • Such examinees may be unable to take licensure exams if scheduled on these particular days.
  • To address this issue, the Commission finds it necessary to establish guidelines for fixing examination dates that consider these religious observances.

General Guidelines on Examination Scheduling

  • Examinations with fewer than 500 applicants in a year shall be conducted at least once per year.

Specific Provisions on Days for Examinations

  • For exams with at least 500 applicants (conducted twice a year), the Commission shall fix examinations on any day or days except Saturday.
  • For exams with fewer than 500 applicants a year (conducted at least once yearly), the examination shall also be fixed on any day or days except Saturday.
  • Licensure examinations for professional teachers are an exception, conducted once a year on any day or days except Saturday.

Effectivity Clause

  • The resolution takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation, whichever is earlier.
