The purpose of DENR Memorandum Circular No. 98-18 is to issue errata or corrections to some provisions of the DENR Administrative Order No. 98-46 (DAO 98-46) dated 29 June 1998, to correct errors and provide revised provisions for clarity and accuracy.
The issuance of DENR Memorandum Circular No. 98-18 is pursuant to Executive Order No. 192, series of 1987.
In Section 3, letter j of DAO 98-46, the word 'apasses' was corrected to 'passed'. This pertains to the definition of 'Emission'.
The references 'Sections 28 and 29' and 'Section 29' were corrected to 'Sections 30 and 31' and 'Section 31' respectively.
In Section 22, the reference to 'Section 16' was corrected to 'Section 19'.
In Section 30 (c)(ii), the letter 'A' was changed to 'i'.
The term '4.5m' was changed to '4.5m -1' indicating a correction in the unit or notation.
In Section 35, the citation 'Section 35 (b)' was corrected to 'Section 37 (b)'.
In Section 37 (a), the reference to 'Section 32' was corrected to 'Section 34'.
The modifications must be published as required by law prior to implementation to ensure transparency and to comply with procedural requirements.
The errata was adopted and approved by ANTONIO H. CERILLES, the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) as of 09 November 1998.
