Q&A (PROCLAMATION NO. 419)

Proclamation No. 419 amends Proclamation No. 389 dated April 28, 1953, by revising and changing the boundaries and technical description of the land embraced therein.

The Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources recommended the amendment.

Lot 1 is bounded on the North by lot No. 4 (portion), block 8, Republic of the Philippines (government property); on the Northeast by lot 2 of plan Swo-33311-Amd.; and on the Southwest by property of the Republic of the Philippines (government property).

The land described in Proclamation No. 419 is situated in the District of Intramuros, City of Manila.

Lot 1 contains an area of 287.50 square meters, more or less.

Lot 2 is bounded on the Northwest, North, and Northeast by lot 4 (portion), block 8, Republic of the Philippines (government property); on the South and Southeast by property of the Republic of the Philippines (government property); and on the Southwest by lot 1 of plan Swo-33311-Amd.

Lot 2 contains an area of 1,304.40 square meters, more or less.

The points referred to in the plan are marked on the ground by P.L.S. (Professional Land Surveyor) cylindrical concrete monuments, with bearings true and variable declination, based on the survey conducted on August 17 and 22, 1953.

Proclamation No. 419 was signed by Elpidio Quirino, then President of the Philippines, indicating the formal amendment of Proclamation No. 389 with the new technical descriptions and boundaries.

Revising the boundaries and technical description legally defines and confirms the rights and jurisdiction over the specified parcels of government property, affecting land administration, ownership, and possible uses under Philippine law.
