Authority and creation of municipality
- Section 1 converts the Municipal District of San Jose de Buan in Western Samar into a regular municipality.
- The converted political unit is known as the Municipality of San Jose de Buan.
Continuity of local officials
- Section 2 provides that the incumbent mayor of the Municipal District of San Jose de Buan continues in office in the new municipality.
- Section 2 provides that the incumbent vice-mayor of the Municipal District of San Jose de Buan continues in office in the new municipality.
- Section 2 provides that the incumbent councilors of the Municipal District of San Jose de Buan continue in office in the new municipality.
- Section 2 limits the continuity period: the incumbents hold their respective offices until their successors shall have been elected in the next general elections for local officials and shall have qualified.
- The continuity applies to incumbents at the time of the approval of this Act.
