Separation of Puerto Annex into National High School

Section 1 separates the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex in Barangay Puerto, City of Cagayan de Oro, Province of Misamis Oriental from the Agusan National High School.
Section 1 converts the separated Puerto Annex into an independent national high school.
Section 1 names the independent national high school as Puerto National High School.

Section 2 transfers all personnel of the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex to Puerto National High School.
Section 2 transfers all assets of the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex to Puerto National High School.
Section 2 transfers all liabilities of the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex to Puerto National High School.
Section 2 transfers all records of the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex to Puerto National High School.
Section 2 directs that the transferred items are absorbed by Puerto National High School.

Section 3 requires the Secretary of Education to immediately include the operationalization of Puerto National High School in the Department’s program.
Section 3 requires the initial funding for Puerto National High School to be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Agusan National High School a Puerto Annex.
Section 3 requires that thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of Puerto National High School be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 4 requires the Secretary of Education to issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.

The Act originated in the House of Representatives and was finally passed by the House of Representatives on December 3, 2008.
The Act was finally passed by the Senate on October 13, 2009.
The Act was approved by the President on JAN 07 2010.
